Generic Arimidex is used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It is usually used in advanced stage of cancer. This medication should not be used during pregnancy as it may harm unborn baby. This medications also doesn’t work with any hormonal medications especially estrogen replacement therapy, birth control pills or any form of birth control which predominately use hormones.

Generic Arimidex may increase the risk of blood clot formation or other cancers. It should not be sued by those women who have cardiovascular diseases, circulation disorders, blood clot disorders or history of stroke. It is also not recommended if a woman is suffering from low bone density or osteoporosis.
